Our neighbors in the campground had visited the town of Trout River and its Seaside Restaurant on Thursday, and highly recommended the restaurant when we talked with them Thursday evening, so we decided to visit on Friday. The views weren't great because of the clouds and rain, but we figured it would be good to get out and we would be able to get some local seafood.

Menu - page one (I got Pan-Seared Scallops, Carl got Mom's Seafood Chowder & Fishburger, and we shared an order of onion rings) Note: the prices are in Canadian dollars, so we get about a 25% discount in US dollars.

Menu - page 2 -- all of the options were available except Caplin Dinner

I was trying to get a picture of Carl at the table along with our view out to the water...

... it worked better when I had the flash on and was closer to Carl.

Along the coast in front of the restaurant -- there is a lighthouse (or maybe just a "light", no "house") at the point.

"Caution Potholes Ahead" -- wonder what the things we've been bouncing through to this point would be called?!?!?

We would like to go to visit the part of Gros Morne National Park that is near the campground (Tablelands), but we're hoping for a sunny, or, at least, a drier day!
