Tasks around home on a cold and rainy day

Saturday was cold and rainy (we are SO glad we got our Western Brook Boat Tour rescheduled to Thursday!), so we stayed in the rig and got some things done...

We had gotten some mixed nuts at Costco in St John (New Brunswick), and we already had some pistachios that we like to mix in with the packaged mixed nuts, so Carl dumped them all in a big bowl, mixed them up, and then put them back into the containers to be ready for snacking.

Regina had given us a wonderful large ham bone when we were at the farm in Virginia, and we had bought split peas and some diced ham pieces a couple of weeks ago. A cold rainy day is just perfect for soup, so we made split pea soup -- YUM!

I also worked on some more planning for end of July, August, and October... that's a task that never really ends! But, every little bit of progress is something that I don't need to do later!
