Fantasy Caravan Day 42 - Homer to Palmer

Friday was a relatively long drive to Palmer, so we got up and left early (before the wagon masters) at about 7:35am. We had plans to visit with friends in Palmer, so wanted to get to the campground by mid-afternoon.

It was a cloudy day but no rain to begin with.

We were on highways that we had traveled on before...

Past Anchorage, we crossed a couple of rivers (that we had crossed coming into Anchorage about 10 days before...

The lights on the bridges were on odd poles that made them distinct.

We got to visit friends from Venture Out in Mesa, Liz and Bill -- they invited us to their home in Palmer and fixed us a delicious dinner -- such a good time with them we totally forgot to take pictures.
