From El Paso back to New Mexico

On Friday, we drove northeast from El Paso on our way back to New Mexico...

There's "a whole lot of nothin' particular" in far west Texas!

But then...

... you come into the area of the Guadelupe Mountains National Park....

... and El Capitan on the southernmost part of the park greets you as the road climbs.

We got to the Escapee Co-op park, "The Ranch" and checked in for a few days.

We had Gracie's door open and a small bird was chirping loudly. I looked around, and the bird was perched on the window ledge on the door outside, while Miss Kitty was sitting on the top step observing (and being observed) closely!

We're looking forward to a few days here in southeastern New Mexico visiting a few sites and enjoying the camaraderie in the park!
