More about grass

As reported previously, we had "grass" laid in our yard. 

We took some additional pictures:

This is a side view of a remnant piece of grass that was not laid. The way the grass carpet is constructed, when looking from the side, it almost looks like it has "thatch" down within the blades of grass at the roots. Once they have put the sand on top of it though, you don't see that from the top. I don't know whether it is there to look more realistic, or whether it helps the grass to stand up straight.

This was the label on the grass that we got -- I guess it is to look like Bermuda grass and the size was 15'x23'. Tommy is the name of the fellow who was doing the yard work for us.

We've gotten a lot of folks complementing us on how good it looks. Carl wants to get a fake dandelion to put in the yard just for reality purposes!
