Some more random pictures

I still have more random pictures in my "blog-potentials" folder...

Carl went to pick up his glasses at LensCrafters. While we were there, we saw the RayBan Meta "Smart" glasses.

We were wondering what made them "smart". I went to the website (https://www.ray-ban.com/usa/ray-ban-meta-smart-glasses) and found:

Ready for the next generation of smart glasses? The Ray-Ban Meta collection combines the latest in wearable tech with authentic Ray-Ban design, to keep you connected wherever you go. The Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses take all the features of Ray-Ban Stories and elevate them to meet what users really want. THE NEXT STEP OF SMART EYEWEAR. Ray-Ban smart glasses just got a whole lot smarter. Meta AI is a conversational assistant that you can prompt by simply saying, “Hey Meta.” No need to unlock your phone or “press and hold” for assistance. With a few words, the new smart glasses can make calls, send texts, control features, and find answers for those random questions that pop into your head throughout the day. IMPROVED AUDIO. Temple-tip speakers have higher max volume, double the bass, and better directional audio, so you can get lost in your podcast, playlist, or phone call without bothering the people around you. The five-speaker setup provides immersive audio, which renders sights and sounds through your smart glasses exactly as you would experience them in person. ENHANCED DESIGN. Ray-Ban smart glasses prioritize lightweight comfort and durability without compromising the authentic Ray-Ban design you know and love. With two classic silhouettes and over 150 different lens and frame combinations, there’s at least one option to fit every individual style. IMPROVED CAMERA. In the outer corner of each lens is a discreet, ultra-wide 12-megapixel camera that produces bold images and videos. The improved cameras record 1080p videos of up to 60 seconds, which you can share with your contacts using AI and a quick voice command. LIVESTREAMING CAPABILITY. Share your adventure in real time with the hands-free livestreaming feature. See community comments in your lens preview, or have AI read them aloud so you can experience the moment without interruption. STAY POWERED ALL DAY. The redesigned smart glasses charging case offers a sleek silhouette on the outside and a powerhouse charging station on the inside. A single charge can provide up to 36 hours of use, so wherever you go, you can feel confident knowing your Ray-ban Meta glasses are up for the challenge. The next generation of Ray-Ban smart glasses is here. Are you ready?

In answer to their question, I don't think I'm ready!

Across the street from LensCrafters, we stopped at a brand new Harbor Freight. Carl had seen that a scroll saw was on clearance sale at some of the stores, so we stopped in to see if they happened to have one in inventory (they did not). We saw that they had one in stock down in Chandler, but that is over an hour's drive away, so he decided to order one -- they would ship directly to us for just $7 -- seemed like a better plan than a 2+ hour round trip drive!

A couple of weeks ago we heard the VO Brass Band. Last week, the Brass Quintet entertained one evening. It was enjoyable, but not as much as the band.

Our block has a block gathering about once a month. For February, they had planned a "Taco Bag Lunch". The plan was that they would provide Doritos in a bag, and meat for "tacos in a bag", and various neighbors would bring shredded cheese, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, etc. for tacos, and other sides that we might like to bring -- so you'd build your taco in the Doritos bag. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your point of vie), Costco didn't have the multi-packs of snack-sized bagged Doritos, so we had just regular tacos on tortillas and the sides...

Neighbors gathering at the house where we had our taco lunch...

This particular home on a corner lot has a large outside space and a nice open lower Arizona room where the table with the food could be placed.

It was nice getting together with neighbors for tacos (whether in a bag or not!).

We also attended a "Food Handler's Class" taught by the resident chef, Chef Arthur. Completing this class allows us to help out in the kitchen or with serving when a club to which we belong is the sponsor of a special meal. Our authorization lasts for 3 years.

The nearby United Methodist Church, where our friend, Laura, attends, has a huge Rummage Sale twice a year. We were able to attend the Spring one -- and we forgot to take pictures other than this one I took of one of the back of a worker's badge telling the dates of the fall sale!

And, we got to attend the Friday night dance at which Midnight Confessions was playing. This is the most popular band for the Friday night dances, having sold out the evening each time they have played (once a month).

I think I'm caught up on random pictures!
