On Friday (which was Carl's birthday -- Happy Birthday, Carl!!!), we celebrated by moving lots and lots of boxes to vehicles and then to donation locations.
The first two vehicle loads went to Salvation Army -- Carl and Steve loaded Steve and Karen's mini-van (which has seats that fold into the floor resulting in great space):

| We emptied the Jee-rage of all of its normal contents (those "normal contents" are now residing inside of Gracie... let's just say that Gracie is *very* messy right now) and loaded up with boxes - mostly boxes of books. |
I forgot to mention that on Thursday, after dumping our tanks, on our way back to Windsor, we went to Tyndale Publishers that is located very close to where we are in Carol Stream. The "book lady" at Windsor had suggested that we could get book boxes there, and they gave us a LOT of boxes. What a blessing they were. They are small boxes which is great for packing books and making sure you don't make them too heavy!

| Carl said that this bin for "Books Only" had only a few boxes of books when they got there, but it was totally filled by the time they were done! We estimated that we took 25 boxes of books there. |
Scott came over in the afternoon and he and Carl loaded the Jee-rage for another trip to the donation center, and then they unloaded the storage unit back into the apartment so we can finish sorting through all of that. Carl and I had several additional boxes by the time we left the apartment so the Jee-rage was packed to the ceiling in the back. This time we just went to Goodwill -- much closer to the apartment (very near Tyndall Publishers), and then headed back to the rig.
We think we're getting close to being able to see the end of clearing out the apartment!
