Surprise visit with friends

On Thursday afternoon, we drove north into Wisconsin, stopping for a few days outside of Madison, WI. Earlier on Thursday, friends from the Escapee Christian Fellowship group, Keith and Ruth Ann, texted and asked if we were still in the Chicagoland area. They were in Iowa and considering coming to visit. We let them know that we were heading to Wisconsin, and we felt badly because we figured that we would miss seeing them. They asked where we were going to stay in Wisconsin, and we let them know... figuring that they might join us in the next couple of days.

When we got to the campground, we found that everything was self service... we had made our reservations online...

... and the list of sites showed that we were scheduled for site 47...

... so we figured out where site 47 was, disconnected the Jeep, and got Gracie parked.

Once we got settled in our campsite, we headed back out to get some shopping done at Walmart. When we got back, we saw a Winnebago View in one of the tent camping sites, but we didn't think much about it. We unloaded our purchases from the Jeep and had just started putting things away when a knock came at Gracie's door. Carl went to the door and we were shocked that Keith was there! We quickly finished up putting away the items we needed to take care of and headed over to sit and talk with them!

Sitting outside their rig chatting -- they had seen on the board that we would be in site 47, and that tent site 46 was available, decided that they did not need electric hookups, so they took the tent site!

Gracie was just around the driveway from them - so they saw when we got back from the store.

What a wonderful surprise to get to see friends!

It just goes to prove that you never know who might show up at your door!!!
