Wednesday - Windsor -- visiting Mom -- and a car show

We had made an appointment to visit Verna on Wednesday morning:

We're thinking that the restrictions are due to COVID, but we had to make an appointment to see her, we got a half hour, she was brought out of her room to a visiting area (elevator lobby), we had to wear masks and plastic face shields (we were ready to do welding!) -- but it was nice to get to see her and talk with her somewhat face to face!

After our visit, we went to Verna's apartment to do some more work -- we got a lot done, but, again, it doesn't look like we've accomplished much yet!

The VFW has Hamburger night on Wednesdays...

So we went "out" for dinner at the VFW!

This summer, they are having a car show each Wednesday too -- so we walked over to view the cars after we ate:

A '57 Chevrolet

A '66 GTO

A '68 GTO

Everything was not old... this fellow had an explanation about his pickup truck...

We enjoyed walking around looking at the vehicles, and talking with a couple of owners. One lady had a 2020 red Alfa Romeo convertible (we did not seem to get a picture of it!) -- she was sitting in it and I wondered why, whether it was because she had not brought a chair to sit in... she said, "I wish I had brought a chair!" I said, "Oh, we have one - let me get it for you." She was so appreciative. She mentioned that there was really no place for her to have brought a chair (the engine is in the back and then it has a tiny "trunk" space) -- it isn't a very practical car -- but she said it is fun to drive!
