Getting started on the move

Before heading to Windsor this morning...

I got a couple of pictures of Miss Kitty enjoying the sunshine...

She is so good about finding the sun in each place that we park!

We also opened the gift that Carl's friend, John, sent us... he was anticipating that we would be visiting in Grants Pass, Oregon, and when Carl let him know that we were not going to be able to visit, he sent the item that he had made to Scott's house. What a nice gift for us! We found a place to display it on the wall in Gracie...
We were able to meet up with the director of assisted living and she took us to see the room that will be Verna's. The room in assisted living needs to be painted and have new carpet laid, but we were able to look at it -- this is the view out her window...

A view back toward the door -- painting is in progress.

The bathroom does not have much storage...

Looking back into her new room -- we're trying to figure out which furniture items from her current apartment can be brought to her assisted living room.

At the end of the day, we returned to the VFW.

Another view at the VFW

A wider view of the VFW with Gracie parked at the far left side.

We worked for a lot of the day today at Windsor; unfortunately, it isn't clear that we made any progress so far! Carl says it is like eating an elephant -- one bite at a time. Hopefully we'll start seeing progress -- soon!
