We neglected to take any pictures on Monday, but progress was made!
Tom came and got the big wall unit bookcases. He came first to figure out how to get them apart, and then went to get a rental truck. Carl and Tom carried them out to the truck and Carl drove with him over to his house to help with unloading too. It was great to get those out of the apartment.
Karen came and again helped with the seemingly endless sorting task -- she finished in the kitchen today! We think that we have all of the closets and cabinets emptied now. Carl and I think we pretty much finished with all the paper sorting in the afternoon before we left.
We think it is *possible* that we will finish on Tuesday... but... we also have an appointment for the Jeep (Jee-rage) to go in to the shop on Tuesday. Carl will be taking it up there and taking a shuttle ride back to the apartment -- to then have to take another shuttle ride back to the shop in the afternoon when *hopefully* the Jeep is fixed. It has had an engine miss for a while that progressed to a check engine light and now is a pretty consistent uneven running of the engine. We want to get that fixed before we leave the northwestern suburbs. He'll drop me off at the apartment - there are several things that I can work on there by myself, and Steve and Karen are due to come to pick up a couple of large items that are in the apartment.
It appears that the end of emptying the apartment is in sight, and we're getting excited!
